Drink and Click™ NL Chapter Launch Event Recap
Last weekend was the initial Drink and Click™ NL Chapter Launch event , and even though the weather was, well crap, we actually had a turn out! With the days getting shorter and shorter here in the Netherlands, we made the most of it with our fast prime lenses, and the rain that thankfully stopped shortly after we got under way.Our itinerary had us heading down the always busy Damrak for a short while, and then getting into more colourful Warmoesstraat where this photograph was taken. I was trying to illustrate that lights from store fronts can serve as impromptu light sources. Thanks very much for my friend John for becoming my model for a short sting, and then allowing everyone else to try to take the same photo :) After this we made our way to famous Wynand Focking where we had our first pit stop to warm up have enjoy a drink. From here we then headed into the western canal area, and ended up at Café Brandon, a very typical Dutch 'brown cafe' with an interesting story (click the link) where we warmed up once again, and enjoyed some lively conversation about photography, gear and well, beer.In all a very good time, and one I hope to repeat once again in January. Thanks to all that made it and made this a fun and memorable event. Be sure to check out the event page for other photographs from the evening.
