What can you hear?

From Harmony Central (great music forums bdw), found a link to a page where you can hear sample high frequency sounds. So what’s so interesting about it? Well it is a neat way to find out just how sensitive your hearing is. As we get older, we tend to lose the ability to hear the really high frequencies. Also, abuse of the ears can also lead to reduction in the ability to hear a wide spectrum of frequencies. The test is not perfect, and the gear that you are using to audition will have an influence on what you can hear (from sound cards to speakers/headphones), but it is still interesting. Note the sounds are not by any means musical or pleasant
So how did I do? Well, i was able to hear up to 18,000 on my headphones. On my crappy computer speakers I could only hear up to 15,000. 19,000 i could feel but can’t say I could really hear it.
